Interactive motion design and Mapping

A musical and visual concert marked the opening of the exhibition Rio XXI, Vertentes Construtivas, which brings together works by Brazilian artists curated by Paulo Herkenhoff and Leno Veras. SuperUber was invited to create a visual concert of animations projected onto the dome of the FGV auditorium, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, synchronized with live music performed by the Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra.

The animations were freely inspired by works in the exhibition, by artists such as Bokel, Toz, Adriana Maciel, and Hebert Sobral, and were triggered in real time by the notes of each instrument. Conducted by Nikolay Sapoundjiev, the ensemble featured a brass quintet, drums, and percussion. The selection of instruments and artworks was carefully curated for the performance.

Iconic Brazilian compositions — such as Trenzinho Caipira and Samba do Avião — were amplified through moving images across the dome’s vast surface, visible to both invited guests and passersby in the surrounding urban space.
