Kinect Play at Times Square

Interactive installation

SuperUber was invited by Embratur to create an interactive installation to advertise the launch of the app “Brasil Quest”, – one of their tools released in New York, aiming at the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games. The installation is called Kinetic Play and took over the big screen at Times Square.

Through a camera, Kinetic Play captures visitor’s movements, that are replicated by the character Yep. To interact, the person goes on the small stage built at the corner of 45th St and Broadway. When the person moves, the character replicates his/her movements, and both appear in the large Times Square screen. People can also pose for photos and send them with the hashtag #embraturNYC to Instagram. The photos are shared in Facebook’s project page.
